New from the Video Dept.
A brief foray into something other than the semi-militant marketing and production of electronic devices that usually make sound of one kind or another. This time, we quickly revisit Travis Johns‘ Songs of Mountains and Wetlands – a concept ep originally released to coincide with a cross-country tour undertaken in 2009. Though revisit might not be the best word for it – perhaps re-image? Animate? Either way, the entire disc has been redone as a corresponding video album, partially expanding on the concept, as well as serving as a quick wade into the tide-pool of music videos – or whatever the equivalent to a music video is for non-idiomatic, experimental glitch improvisations. Either way, feel free to take a listen. Like what you see? By all means, let us know.
